Habbo Addiction
i saw the habbo game promotion @ MTV a few years ago. and o yeah, habbo promotes pixel art! the style is just unique. nevertheless the game also prepare the interaction platform with the ppl in the network. i'd just got addicted to it recently. its another alternative to chat like IRC and doing some "pretending" game. :p babbo------------------>http://www.habbo.com.sg/

Miri-ans' perspective in Graphic Design
the role of a graphic designer is to solve "visual" problems. with the inner born aesthetical sense, and the sensitivity towards colors and combination: designers convey and communicate through art pieces which consist of layout, typo, visual arts, packaging and etc. graphic designers are often visual orientated, and are train to perceive things graphically. the success of a designer is to meet the need of their targeted audience. and of course, one of the element that a designer should have is "creativity".
being involved in this field, especially in miri, i personally felt quite upset on how the mirian perceive the role of a graphic designer. we are often exploited. i remembered i was so underpaid. it is just cruel to see an advertising and printing company is paying RM800 for a graphic designer! in their mindset, they thought that all we can do is , to "produce artwork" using "computer". often time, we are being perceive in line with the secondary graduates... and i personally felt sad that the malaysian is unaware with "intellectual property". that is why pirated cd is everywhere!
the wikipedia translated intellectual property as: "a legal field that refers to creations of the mind such as musical, literary, and artistic works; inventions; and symbols, names, images, and designs used in commerce, including Trademark Patent Related right. Under intellectual property law, the holder of one of these abstract "properties" has certain Exclusive rights to the creative work, commercial symbol, or invention by which it is covered."
just imagine when you put all your efforts into an art piece, and other people just take it as theirs without any acknowledgement... how will you feel?
i really hope that the graphic designers in miri can stand up and educate the people! it's not about just taking in but it's about sharing - the passion for Original art & design~

Strange Relationship
Sometime, it is such a joy to meet friends around the places like supermarket or etc.
But, today, I don't feel like it.
I met 3 groups of ppl from my past stepping stones in A day, and at THE SAME place!
Well, before the thrill began, I was surprise to meet up with Matt and Cat, these lovely couple at the same restaurant. Then, my colluegue and his sister, at the Same restaurant too!
I was like, wow!
It began when i met up with my past colluege when i worked at Global Art! Her son is already 1 and a half years old! And we were at the bookshop. When my brothers and i'd enough, I saw my prevous job Boss and wife just outside the bookshop! Arrgh, i just don't feel like saying hi, so, i'd decided to hid behind of my brother.....
I thought i am safe when we went into the department store. And as i followed my brother to the toys department, I terjumpa dengan my 2nd job's boss and his children! Oh dear! I just have to say Hi and quickly run away... my goodness.....
I began to think what God is trying to tell me with this strange circunstances that happened today... XD
Anyway, happy birthday, my lil lovely brother!!
But, today, I don't feel like it.

Charge Up! Brief
24th April will be an exiting day for the media "passionist" out there.
150 ppl around Malaysia, and the top speakers from their respective field will be sharing their insight regarding the media and how we can "take over" it! Yes! The Charge Up 2008 Conference is sooo near and sooo close!
My brother Ian the team leader aka the Medianboss had brief us the idea of this conference, and all of us are impressed. Praise God the sarawakian team is multiplying from 1 (formally Ian went alone) to 10 from different demonitions :)
4 KEC kaki= Grace, Ian, Josh and Karen
3 Good Shepard kaki= Andrew, Christy and Walter
1 Baptist kaki= Ben
1 MGC kaki= me
Well, this time around, i am a little worried that there is non believer among us, but i believe that God will help me to see what this conference is all about. Cos am totally new to all these! Let just look forward to it and how God's name will be glorified! :)

Charge Up!
Life working in Curtin is moving along the way, despite all the politics... U just need to do what is right and what is righteous. :)
Being called as a "webmaster" is really embarrasing.. as i m totally out of this field, since i am from the design background rather that a web bg...
But, thank God for the supporting colleagues and most of all the Charged Up, soon to be conference organised by Livewire Media, to charge up the media artist out there for God's ministry! (24 April-28April)
web production is really a new concept for me. eventhough i did a minor in the past, but still, im incapable of handling one.. therefore, i felt sesat when i was called to this post... >,< but i believe the Mighty, Author of Salvation will guide me, and show me what will be laying ahead of me! :)
looking forward for this wonderful conference and the impact for the journey ahead!

Curtin, the 4th Stepping Stone
First day in Curtin.
Met a new staff at HR, it's her first day too. :)
We haf a good chat, and she's Aisyikin.
Both of us went through some briefing and a short tour, meeting up with all the colleagues in differents departments! And that's quite a lot of new names to remember!
Nothing much to do at the first day. Met up with my ICT colleagues and they are really wonderful. Hope to get to know them well in the future. :)
Anyway, i hope to serve God in this new field that He has given to me. Praise Him for this new job!

Shiro Neko
my 2 dogs were barking madly at 2 am.
Even my neighbor was awaken by them.
I thought that a thief had broken into our house. And with my brother, we went for an exploration in the dark, to the place where they barked.
To our surprise, a cat is lying under the rambutan tree. My brother is so angry that he thought the dogs had killed some cat from outside. When the torch light flashed toward the poor creature, it is wounded severely. A pure white cat, so beautiful and so wounded. The legs are broken, and we can see that it is no stray cat. Because it is huge! The poor thing is in fear and exhausted, lying on the floor after a long fight with my dogs. Imagine the scenery: 2 dogs verses 1 cat!
We do not know what to do. Thinking of bring the poor creature into the house is not a good idea. And my brother even suggested just to throw the cat next door!
After a long hour, we try to grab the cat, but at the same time we fear that it will attack coz the fellow is not friendly. And it is in the state of fear defending mode! We brought a shover, thinking of shoving the cat and put it outside, so it can walk back home safely. Well, it is not a good idea! the cat is just too heavy.
In the end, we covered it with cloth, and carried it to the front door. As long as the gate is open, the poor thing went outside as fast as it could!
I can imagine if that poor creature is my pet, i will be extremely sad! I hope it is ok and the master can treat his wound well.....

The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
I enjoyed musical drama since young. Movies like Sound of Music, Mary Poppin and Dancing in the Rain. etc is indeed: classic! Those music + expression are always intriguing. Just watching the actors and actress' singing and putting their emotion into the movie, is really heart melting.
This time around, after The Phantom of Opera; is my fav director and my fav actor, making another master piece together: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street .
I was so surprise when Depp took the challenge to sing. (eventhough he can't really sing well.. haha). But the whole movie, is tragically beautiful. The combination of the monotone b&w +color, is brilliant. The goth style make up and the 18th century fashion, how contrast yet creates the atmosphere. All in all, the movie is bloody, (just see how Depp swing the shaver and cut ppl's throat like chicken, and how the blood spill out like tin of coke after having a hard shake... well... it is quite insane.. haha) and ironically sad. The tag line: Never Forgive, Never Forget, give a clear idea how the story will end.
Anyway, I believe not everyone will love musical drama. But, I believe Burton is a genius when he portrayed the original script in this way. The reborn version of Burton's style is indeed a unique piece and beautiful artwork.

KL Trip: 6th to 8th Jan 2008

*A spontaneous trip to KL, due to my lil sis furthering her studies at Taylor.
*Manage to gather with some close friends and it is trully a memorable one.
*And! We visited all the big malls of KL in 3 days! Legs soar but it's worth coz until one point, we eat sushi 4 both meals, lunch and dinner! thx to Ris and Mom :)
*Big thx and hugz to Ris, our pet bro, being our driver running around at these 3 days!!

Another New Episode
I'm always struggling for my work. Most of the time within the past year, I have been striving just to get a better paid job. I remembered one of the goal is to be a young entrepreneur, setting up a new "company" or something like that.
But God works in a very amazing way. His thought is always higher and His plan is always perfect. And that is how it started....
Joined MedianLabs and now working in a bridal shop (which should be a "NO" in the list... me working with brides, NEVER lolz)
The bridal shop is really God's plan, when God open door for me to really share Gospel in this workplace. First a collueague who had left apperently, is one of the fellow who is really open to the Gospel. We discuss on many things regarding to Christianity, and that is such an experience that I have never thought of. Then, I found out that the whole "community" in this workplace is somehow heard and even come in touch with God before! First my boss and his wife.. are christian who had left church for a long time. Then another 2 collueagues who had christian relatives!
The highlight in this workplace is, I met a very special person. A special person that God brought into my life.. someone to take care of and especially on the duty of dicipleship. This sister has touched me with her powerful testimony.. and help me to see how strong she is, eventhough she suffers from cronic health problem. To tell the truth, I felt threatened when I found out that she's coming back to work. (As in I am the replacement when she felt sick)
But God opened my eyes! And teach me how to love and be sensitive to the needs!
Today, my prayer is that this sister will be healed from her sickness, and grow in Him. And most of all, I will try my very best to help her, not only her physical need, but her spritual growth as well. I really thank God for her!
May God help me to open my eye and continue to seek Him in this 2008!

And today, my sister is the one baptizing... and by His grace, I am the one playing the hymn 183: "O Happy Day!" (Well, it is really last minute, when Elder Norman suddenly called me to play >,<>

Distracted Week
I found out that I am really offtrack this week.
I need to hold my steering really close with God.
Works. Ministry. Personal Problem.
I felt that I began look more on myself lately.
Everything is about "ME" and I really hate that kind of feeling.
I really wanted to focus myself on God.. but i find it quite hard this week.
My self thought tape is replaying scenery that isn't suppose to think of..
sigh~~~ pray for His guidance and wisdom

Wedding Bliss
Praise God! 2 couples will be getting married next year!
First, our Cell Group's Leader SK and AG! That's the most exiting news from both of them, CONGRATULATION! =D
Next, the sister's of SK too!(will be after theirs, probably around July or August next year!)
Double shot!
So, Medianites!! Do get ready to approach them ASAP! haha.
As for my side, it's indeed an honor to be able to help SK and AG to design their wedding album!!! Can't wait to see, coz' they'd already planned out the concept of the album =)
Anyway, it's a bit pressure to see friends around me are getting married XD and I still claim to be the nominal member of the "Ku Po Club" (Spinster Club: Founder: Miss T.W.A) LOL (u know, when family members and friends asking those questions, it is just kinda irritating! XD)
well, let just rejoice for the situation I am now, and serve God til He show me my life partner (if it is by His will that I will get marry LOL)
