Liar, Liar pants on Fire

After a long busy day, finally the clock strikes 6.30pm.
Drag my feet and I reached Boulevard just to get some fresh air, and some shopping for the Sunday School craft material.

After paying the cash and planning to shop for the Dreamweaver at Soon Seng, a young man approached me. I am alert about the things he offered. Knowing that temptation is always "a short cut", obviously the man is trying to trap me for this lucky draw, and I know that for sure, in the end, I will be paying more just to get the prize. Anyway, driving by curiosity, I want to see how they "con" things out. (I was scolded by my mom and my bro for being "too adventurous".)

The man said that they are from a company that sell SK Classic electrical appliances. (I found thier website at http://www.e-cowas.com.my/ and bad reputation from Online Consumer Community Portal, basically on how they cheated the "big fish".) And he asked me whether I am 21 years old, and I will be having a chance to draw some prize near the opposite end of Boulevard stage at the top floor. The place they chose were rather "remote" though. The man lead me to another fellow who's waiting out side the "shop". I was rather frightened when I saw that I am the only person, and also the only female there. O dear, I cried deep in my heart for God to help me through.

Then, the other fellow lead me to his desk, with a desktop there. Congratulating me, he asked me to fill a form, saying that the company is doing some marketing survey. Well, haha, I simply write a random name, tel no, and even a non existing address. I remembered the man asked me how I pronounced my name, I said loudly "Wong Yong Wen" HAHA!

Now, the interesting part is when he asked me whether I know how to use a computer, I said no. And when he found out that I am a designer, and how I try to mess up the computer, (Basically, the lucky draw is done on the desktop, poorly designed interactive jackpot), he said "You lied to me and how naughy you are, trying to mess up my comp!" (I try to click other stuff, wanted to see other things on this interactive thingy")

Anyway, from the website I found, the chance of "winning" is 99.9%, and yeah, the fellow said I won a myterious prize and I will have another chance for the second lucky draw. By the way, this fellow is the type of person we normally called Ah Beng", and the way he talked is really loud and well, a bit "irritating". He asked a lot of stuff during the process, and I just answered him in a "not interested with what you offer" ways. Basically trying to act bored.

I got a pen for this mysterious prize. (I knew that it is a pen all along when he brought the "prize" for me. Just that it is attached with a torch light.) And haha, he tried to deny it when I said it is a pen! Anyway, the peak is at the 2nd lucky draw. The fellow asked me to click randomly on the 16 boxes where there is ONLY 3 boxes are contained with mysterious prizes.
Again I mess up the comp by simply clicking other things, haha! (thank God I am still save here, my mom said that I will be beaten up if I am not careful, trying to act as an annoying person!)
Obviously I won. I didn't show any expression when the fellow congratulate me. He looks more excited than I do. I can see that I have "won" a TV set and a few other electrical appliances. I just said that I am not interested and I wanted to go home badly. I still remember the fellow said that, "Why go back so early! You just won yourself a big prize!" So funny!

Now, I believe the guy was shock when I said this and when I showed no interest on the "prize I won". I said" I already get myself a far greater prize." He said, "What is it?" "In heaven!" I said. Standing up, and I just wanna leave that place. Feeling "hopeless", the fellow said, "Take this pen with you then!" I left him by saying, "Keep it yourself." I can hear that he screamed at the back of me. But I didn't turned back at all.

I can imagine how mad he will be and how he will cursed me! "Cursed you! WONG YONG WEN!" LOL!. When I drove myself back, I remembered something, I should have give him the gospel track with me! Ahhh! What a chance I lost! And I forgot to buy Dreamweaver as well >,<....

Hahahaaaa.. funny funny! Interesting experience. When 'jalan-jalan' with Ian, Mel, Abi n the gang once in boulevard, we also got almost the same experience. Well that time, I was the one who won so many things la..but in the end, I just left the prizes I 'won'. (Hi-Fi with Home Theater system, some cooker, Cash rebate etc). I guess this is the new marketing strategy la.
